Ruby Chew is an Adelaide based DJ with an unquenchable love for music.
Wielding a huge catalogue of sounds, her M.O. combines the classics tunes we all love mixed with soon to be new favourites. She’s known for creating atmosphere, bringing the fun, party vibes and getting booties shakin’.
From funk, soul, rock ‘n roll, blues, disco, boom bap, to house, new wave, pop, 90’s and naughties, she’s got it and she ain’t afraid to use it!
Ruby began her DJ career at one of Adelaide’s most infamous dive bars, Supermild, and has been spinnin’ for over 15 years.
An award-winning Visual Artist to boot, Ruby brings her love of colour and theatricality into her sets.
She’s played at many weddings, public and corporate events, plus festivals, bars and clubs including Adelaide Fashion Festival, Oz Asia Festival, Tasting Australia, Santos Tour Down Under, Cellar Door Fest, Adelaide Festival, Fringe Festival, Day Dance Festival, Art Gallery of South Australia, National Wine Centre, Adelaide Convention Centre, Rundle Mall, The Gallery, The Exeter, Rhino Room & My Lover Cindi to name a few.

We had Ruby DJ at our wedding and so should you! Not only was the music amazing, everyone commented on that! But Ruby is professional, kind and has wonderful energy. She even helped me piece together the planning side of things. We had Ruby all day from ceremony to end of reception and it was magic! I just want to have another party so we can get her back again for more funky tunes. Adelaide is lucky to have her.
[Ruby] blew us away with her incredible selections. The rocking dance floor was an absolute highlight of the night for us and honestly not one we expected after reducing our guest numbers significantly due to Covid. We literally had guests running back to the dancefloor after having already said their goodbyes and exiting the building. I don't think there was a single person that didn't get their groove on at some point in the night, even my 93 year old grandma was dancing in her seat!
